"5. Web access: The Noo’s web browser works over WiFi network. The Kindle’s built-in WiFi can be used only for accessing the store and downloading books."

According to Amazon, Kindle WiFi has web access through the WiFi.

"New WebKit-Based Browser Kindle's new web browser is based on WebKit to provide a better web browsing... Experimental web browsing is free to use over Wi-Fi."

The JBL is more restricted in formats than you say. It will support B&N DRMd .pdb files, but not BRMd .epub. Unfortunately B&N seems to be switching over to .epub and on ordering an ebook from them one cannot tell in advance what flavor of format it is. I guess this is OK if you like crapshsoots - but I've already been burned on a B&N purchase of a .epub book. No refunds if you guess wrong. Or buy from ereader.com or from fictionwise.com. They sell the JBL and their books do work with it.

WHAT IS THE REASON FOR THIS STATEMENT:

The Kindle Wi-Fi is aimed at users who read 3 books a month or less...

THE TWO NEW KINDLES SEEM THE SAME EXCEPT THAT ONE HAS 3G AND ONE DOESN'T.

Some more specs and details here - http://blogkindle.com/2010/07/kindle-3-released/. With devices such as Kindle starting at $139 eBooks should become mainstream really soon. Personally I don't see why wouldn't anyone add extra $50 to get free 3G. It makes the device so much more usable.
