Nook Wi-Fi Available. Priced At $149.99

By Best-eReaders, June 21, 2010

B&N are turning into a real headache for Amazon. They’ve just announced a brand new Nook Wi-Fi that is priced at $149.99, $100 cheaper than the Kindle 2. Best Buy has confirmed the whole thing with its listing of the BNRV100 model, which comes in over $100 cheaper than Barnes and Noble’s original ($259), although Best Buy has seen fit to give that a price trim as well. We like where this is going, especially if it triggers B&N’s competitors to lower their own fees. The $149.99 price also appears in the Official B&N nook page.

The original Nook 3G is now $50 cheaper and priced at $199 at the B&N official nook page. This might serve as a sign for other eReader manufacturers to lower their price. We believe this will happen when the new Kindle is out in less than 2 months.
