By Best-eReaders, March 23, 2010

Comscore have just released a very interesting study regarding the Apple iPad and the Kindle.

The survey was conducted online and more than 2,176 internet users participated. Questions asked were regarding their awareness, attitudes and opinions of the Apple iPad and other e-readers/tablet devices.

Serge Matta, Comscore’s vice president said:

“The tablet and e-reader market is developing at a breakneck pace right now, and Apple’s entry into the market is sure to accelerate mainstream consumer adoption,” said Serge Matta, comScore executive vice president. “These devices have the potential to be incredibly disruptive to the way consumers currently access digital content. While only time will tell exactly how consumer behavior will change, our research suggests that not only will a variety of markets be impacted by the introduction of these devices but also that there are substantial opportunities for those in the digital content ecosystem.”

The survey say that out of the users surveyed, 6% of them already bought the Amazon Kindle, while only 1% of them bought the Apple iPad. However, 15% of users said they will seriously consider buying the iPad, compared with 14% who said they will seriously consider buying the Kindle.
