Features – Hardware and Software
Plastic Logic Cue is introducing a shatterproof, plastic-based display panel. The glass-free display does not only make the QUE durable and damage-resistant, it also helps keep the device stay light despite sporting a letter-size (8.5 x 11 inches) screen.
Plastic Logic is also ditching physical navigational buttons and is going all with virtual controls. To turn pages, users simply swipe the screen. Tabs and a navigational toolbar let you go through applications with a tap of the finger. Touch capacitive display is also tailored for drawing or sketching.
Another Plastic Logic innovation is the QUE truVue application, which is powered by the Adobe Reader Mobile SDK and which give publications a slicker look. With the QUE truVue, your New York Times looks exactly like it does on their website.
Sync your devices with the QUE software and experience quick reflow of files from your PC or Mac to your QUE. Integrated Good and BlackBerry interactivity also lets you transfer email or documents from your smartphone to your ereader.
As the Plastic Logic Que is tailored to meet the needs of business users, the device can display standard business documents such as PowerPoint and Excel. Internet connectivity, an essential business tool, is also included. With integrated 3G, you can download titles from the QUE bookstore, while WiFi helps you stay connected when traveling abroad.
