It measures 7.2” x 4.7 x 0.4,” the average size for 6-inch ereaders, and comes with black matte finish that ensures firm and no-slip grip. Weighing just 7 ounces, it is doesn’t cramp one’s arm even after reading for a long time.
Once turned on, theAstak EZ Reader brings you directly to your library. Key and button placements ensures a hassle-free in-book and menu navigation. Shortcut keys allow you to zoom on a page, go back to the main menu, or book mark pages with one click. Cons
If you are looking for a device with unique looks and unique personality, the Astak EZ Reader won't fit the bill. A visit to the Jinke website will show you that the Astak EZ Reader and the Hanlin V3 are physically identical. The EZ Reader is simply a re-brand of the Chinese device. Jinke provides the chassis and program applications, while Astak provides tech support, end design, free ebooks, and sales.
For an ereader with no special features or wireless capabilities, $259 is too expensive. You can get the wireless Kindle 2 for the same price. There are only 3 zoom or font size options, and one can't zoom in on images. Refresh rate is also slow, with a lag time of about 3 seconds.
With 4 grayscales only, texts are less sharp than devices with 8 or 16 shades of gray.
